Utopia In Utah

Utopia In Utah

When you think of a girl’s trip, you tend to think of Miami, Las Vegas, Bahamas, some place hot. We decided to do a cold vacation girls trip and it couldn’t have been a better decision! With the world slowing down because of the current pandemic, this girls trip was a necessary escape for my friends and me. We wanted to go somewhere, where we wouldn’t encounter too many people, and our surroundings were aesthetically pleasing. Utah was that place for us. We really focused on getting a beautiful place to stay because a majority of the trip would take there. This trip was definitely top 3 of all the girls trip I’ve been on. Thinking of going to Utah? Check out my girls trip below!

The Airbnb

The airbnb we stayed at was BEAUTIFUL. The photos simply did not do it justice. From the views of the mountain to the interior decor, everything about this mansion, that sits right at the top of the hill, was fully thought out and well executed! I would highly recommend this airbnb. HOWEVER, with most pros there are cons. The cons of this airbnb is that it is expensive, you will be dropping thousands for a weekend stay here. Is it worth the coins? To me, it definitely was! Another con is that the company that you will be communicating with when booking this airbnb is rude. They’re called Moose Management. In my honest opinion, Moose Management profiled myself and my friends due to our airbnb photos. Their responses to our questions and inquiries after already booking and paying for this airbnb were aggressive, dismissive and simply unprofessional. This of course came as a shock to us because we had just dropped a pretty coin to stay at the place so the lack of appropriate communication did not go unnoticed. I’m a firm believer in not giving up on the whole tree just because you found one bad apple. Moose Management is that bad apple but the actual owner and Lindsi, the on site house manager, are the whole tree. Lindsi was PHENOMENAL. She was friendly, helpful, nice and gave us a warm welcoming. She apologized for the behavior of Moose Management and she explained that Moose Management is a 3rd party company they hired to manage the bookings of the house. Aside from those two cons, the actual experience of staying at this airbnb was truly the highlight of the trip for me. Thinking of booking this airbnb next time you’re in Utah? The Activities

Snowmobiling

We snowmobiled at Park City Peaks. It was a 2 hour tour that cost $189 for the driver and $49 for the passenger. So we just doubled up, divided the cost down the middle and took turns driving.

Skiing

We skied at one of the most popular ski resorts in Park City called Park City Mountain. Skiing is an expensive sport and a hard sport to learn. It requires leg strength, stamina and coordination. For $248 each we got a 3-hour skiing lesson, ski rentals and a beginner lift pass. This is the second time I’ve been skiing and both times I got really hot while doing it, so I’d recommend not wearing too much layers, as that will weigh you down. A good heat tech layer and a ski suit will work just fine.

Food

4 Course Meal by Chef Adam

When we weren’t doing snow activities we spent a lot of time in the airbnb. So I thought it would be a wonderful idea to plan a 4 course dinner experience by a private chef for my friends. I found Chef Adam on Thumbtack while looking for chefs in the area. We went with an all seafood experience to accommodate everyone’s preference and my vegan friend was given her own menu to eat from. Every dish was delicious and I would absolutely hire Chef Adam again.

Handle

We did go out to eat one night and that night we ate at Handle, a restaurant I found online through research and reviews. My friends are a mix of vegan, gluten free and dairy free eaters so it was important to find a restaurant that accommodates everyone’s eating preference. Handle has super cute decor, delicious food and is quite popular in Park City. Our waitress enjoyed telling us that we had just missed Ciara, Russell Wilson and Vanessa Bryant.
